Volunteer Stephen McAndrews (R), after a considerable number of hours work, hands over the transcription of the original document. This has been a labour of dedication involving understanding and interpreting the handwritten minutes of varying quality. It is now possible to read the original minutes with ease being in a contemporary font which is easy on the.eye.

The Master, Rupert Pratt (L) was pleased to accept the document, on behalf of the Incorporation, at a lunch given to celebrate the work of the loyal band of volunteers at the hall.

On Thursday 20th October 2016 Margery Rowe, the retired Assistant City Archivist, visited Tuckers Hall. She listed all the Tuckers Hall documents when they were deposited in 1958.

Jo Simmons served as a Police Officer being a familiar face across Exeter in the days when the city had its own police force. He was also a long-standing member with the Exeter Police Choir.

Jo served with Beadle, Peter Wale assisting him with his usual duties, for nearly 10 years and he finally retired due to failing eyesight, becoming bind in his latter years. He took great pride in regularly polishing the oak floor in the entrance hall and oak stairs; to the point where it became something of a hazard particularly when leaving after having dined rather well!
