Read more ...Following the reintroduction of the Livery membership a design competition was held for a second loving cup. The sucessful candidate was Rod Kelly a leading silversmith who's work can be found in public and private collections including the V&A Museum, the Royal Mint, St Paul's Cathedral and The Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths.  

This item has an Exeter hallmark, and was paid for by members' contribution.                                  

Read more ...Thomas Potter's Flagons are also on display at the Hall, together with one of the Loving Cups. Potter's Gift, set up to help "eight poor weavers or fullers' in 1694,was absorbed into the Exeter Municipal Charity in 1949 and is still providing income for almshouses in Exeter.
