Read more ...On Thursday 20th October Margery Rowe, the retired Assistant City Archivist, visited Tuckers Hall. She listed all the Tuckers Hall documents when they were deposited in 1958. 

Read more ...Once again we opened our doors for people to visit the hall over the four days of the Heritage Open Days Festival from Thursday 8th to Sunday 11th September.

Members and volunteers assisted the Beadle during this very busy period. It is very rewarding to show our wonderful hall to both local people and visitors alike and experience their reaction when seeing the main hall for the first time;  something many of us take for granted because of our familiarity with the hall.

Read more ...Jo Simmons served as a Police Officer being a familiar face across Exeter in the days when the city had its own police force. He was also a long-standing member with the Exeter Police Choir.

Jo served with Beadle, Peter Wale assisting him with his usual duties, for nearly 10 years and he finally retired due to failing eyesight, becoming bind in his latter years. He took great pride in regularly polishing the oak floor in the  entrance hall and oak stairs; to the point where it became something of a hazard particularly when leaving after having dined rather well!
